Supporting Charities

As you may know from reading my story, my husband and I lost our daughter ‘Olivia Rose back in August 2021.

I was 41 weeks pregnant and went into labour very early in the morning of 9th August. After being at home for 8 hours in labour, there was a bit of a concern that things were not progressing as they should. As we were travelling to the hospital, I experienced a placental abruption, and we lost Olivia during our journey.

During this dark time in our lives, SANDS and many other charities were an amazing support to us, and going to the SANDS support groups really helped us get through this difficult time. Finding people that were experiencing the same loss as we were, made us realise we weren’t alone. It was comforting to know that there were others who understood what we were going through and could offer support and guidance. We are grateful for the help we received and will always be thankful for the kindness and compassion shown to us during this challenging time.

I created the Olivia Rose Decor blog with the intention of channelling my daughter’s memory into something positive. Losing her was incredibly difficult, and I want to help others who are going through similar struggles. In these challenging times, there are many fantastic charities out there that provide assistance to parents, and I want to do my part.  I plan to donate 10% of my monthly profits to charities like SANDS, Tommys, Aching Arms, and 4Louis, among others. By giving back, I hope to honour Olivia’s memory and make a positive impact on the world.
